Dear SLT / Teachers,
Many of us are hoping for the best but planning for the worst.
Here is a Google Forms Survey that can be adapted for your school to help you find out what technology pupils have at home for home learning. To copy the survey you will need to have a Google account (home or EDU) if you are an EDU account your account must be able to receive files from outside the school, something that you might block for students but open for teachers.
You will need to adapt it for your school.
Look out for the XXXX to change
In case schools need to return to remote learning or if schools want to use Google Classroom within school I have adapted some shape programming resources so that schools can have copies of the files on their Google EDU.
Look in Home Learning
If you subscribe to HIAS Computing Friendly then the latest edition is full of teachers experiences using Google Classroom, Seesaw and Microsoft 360. These will help you make an informed choice.
In Hampshire Google Classroom & Seesaw were the platforms chosen by the vast majority of primary schools during lock-down.
If you would like help and online training get in touch firstname.lastname@example.org
I used Google Classroom extensively for both my schools during lock-down and training feedback from other schools has been excellent.
